Dear Friend of the CAVS Program:

The CAVS Youth Basketball organization was started in 1988.

Our motto is “Preparation for the Next Level.” The purpose of our organization is to provide youth in the San Fernando Valley and surrounding communities an opportunity, through basketball, to develop skills such as discipline, respect and self-worth.

For 24 years, the CAVS organization has helped thousands of boys and girls to become better basketball players and many of the CAVS players have gone on to excel on the court at high school, college and professional levels. The commitment, discipline and hard work they learned on the court helped make them responsible young citizens off the court. As CAVS, we are extremely proud of the impact we have had on the lives of these young people.

The CAVS organization faces new and greater challenges each year and the most recent is the new regulations being imposed by the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). The LAUSD recently passed a regulation which requires payment for the use of its facilities via LAUSD’s “Pay to Play” Program. The CAVS organization practices twice a week at Chatsworth High School (currently at Montclair Prep while Chatsworth’s gym floors are under construction) and now must pay a fee every time we use the gym.

The CAVS organization wants to continue the valuable services we provide to the community and we need your assistance. We are kicking off our Annual Capital Campaign to help raise funds for gym fees, equipment, uniform costs, travel expenses, and scholarships. Donations made to the CAVS organization via the Capital Campaign qualify as a charitable contribution. You can donate by clicking on the link below and following the donation protocol.
